Welcoming all to know and love Jesus

    Welcome to St. Peter’s,
St. Peter's is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA).  For over 150 years, the people of St. Peter's have gathered to worship on the corner of 7th and Jay Streets in St. Clair.
We gather for worship on Saturdays at 5:00 p.m. and Sundays at 9:30 a.m.  Sunday School for children from Pre-K through High School takes place on Sunday during the 9:30 a.m. service.  We also gather for Bible studies during the week.

There are many opportunities to serve, both at St. Peter's and throughout the community.  We also offer activities for youth and families.  You can learn more by looking under “Opportunities to Serve” and “Social Activities.”  I also invite you to look at our newsletter, which you can find under Church Info.  Or check out our Facebook page under “St. Peter’s Lutheran Church St. Clair, MI.”

A brief word about myself:  I have been a pastor in the ELCA for six years.  Prior to coming to St. Peter's, I served two congregations in southern Illinois for three years.  I am married to Joyce, who is also an ELCA pastor.  We have a puppy named Sketch who keeps our home a lively place!  I enjoy model railroading, photography, playing the piano, and biking.

This gives you some background information about who we are. The best way to find out more about St. Peter's is to come and worship with us.  Believers of all ages and backgrounds are welcome here.

    God's peace be with you,
    Pastor Ken Staib
